Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, the enchanting witches of Oz, will host a two-hour musical celebration dedicated to “Wicked.” Just two weeks before the release of its cinematic counterpart “Wicked: For Good,” fans can enjoy an early taste of the magic.
The NBC special “Wicked: One Wonderful Night” features live performances by Grande and Erivo with a 37-piece orchestra and full ensemble dance numbers. The show, recorded at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, offers audiences a theatrical experience filled with music and spectacle.
Jeff Goldblum, who portrays the Wizard, joins the special by performing on the piano during the broadcast.
Highlights include Grande’s radiant Glinda moment and glimpses of two signature duets: “What Is This Feeling?” and “For Good.”
Jonathan Bailey was unable to participate in this televised event.
This special unites the stars of “Wicked” for a live, orchestra-backed celebration that bridges the musical and its upcoming film sequel with music, spectacle, and iconic performances.
