When Does Stranger Things Season 5 Start?
Our adventures in Hawkins are nearing their end, but there is still more to come. Stranger Things has been renewed for its fifth and final season.
Release Dates and Format
The fifth season will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, 27th November 2025. It will be split into three parts:
- First four episodes released in November 2025
- Next three episodes on 26th December 2025
- Final episode on 1st January 2026
Series Conclusion
"Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things," Matt and Ross Duffer wrote in an open letter to fans. "At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but - as you’ll see for yourselves - we are now hurtling toward our finale."
Though it’s sad to say goodbye, the timing makes sense as the main cast has grown up. Fans are eager to see what the Duffer Brothers create next, possibly including a spin-off, which Variety has suggested might be in development.
