Surrey honours veterans with Remembrance Day ceremonies citywide

Surrey's Remembrance Day Ceremonies Honour Veterans

On Tuesday, November 11, Surrey will host multiple events citywide to commemorate Remembrance Day and pay tribute to the service, bravery, and sacrifice of Canada's veterans.

Mayor's Reflection on Remembrance Day

“Remembrance Day is an opportunity for us to come together and reflect on the steadfast dedication of Canada’s veterans and those who continue to serve,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. “Their legacy lives on in the freedoms we enjoy and the communities we build. I encourage everyone to take a moment during Veterans Week and on Remembrance Day to reflect and express appreciation for the commitment and courage of our veterans and service members.”

Event Details and Recommendations

The largest ceremony will be held at Veterans Square in Cloverdale, hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion Cloverdale Branch. This event will also be streamed live on the City of Surrey’s Facebook page.
