Jasmine Crockett, a Democratic congresswoman from Texas, is seriously considering a Senate campaign, she revealed in a recent interview.
Speaking with Dasha Burns on Politico’s The Conversation, Crockett explained her approach: “I’m seriously weighing it to the extent that I’m about to spend a lot of money to get data. So I’m a data-driven person.” She emphasized the need for different strategies in Texas to achieve new results.
“I personally believe that Texas needs to do something different if they wanted different results. That’s just the bottom line.”
She noted that the eventual Democratic nominee will need broad success in both the primary and general elections.
Crockett claimed that the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is heavily funding Cornyn’s primary campaign to secure his victory. However, this claim could not be independently confirmed, and the NRSC did not respond to requests for comment by the time of publication.
