When the First 'Avengers: Doomsday' Trailer Will Arrive

The first look at Avengers: Doomsday is expected to debut in theaters this December, paired with another major Disney release. Although the film itself won’t reach cinemas until December 2026, fans are likely to get a preview much sooner.

According to Collider, multiple insider sources have confirmed that the initial footage of Marvel’s next team-up movie is planned to be released alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash. If this scheduling holds, audiences will see Robert Downey Jr. appear as the titanium-masked villain on December 19.

This timing also aligns well with the upcoming debut of James Cameron’s third journey to Pandora, premiering almost exactly a year before Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026. With Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps arriving earlier this year, Marvel’s storyline is building toward its next major chapter.

“Marvel grabbed everyone’s attention all over again when they revealed chairs for the cast of the blockbuster event, which contained a fair few surprises, like the return of many of the 20th Century Fox X-Men.”

Despite these revelations, secrecy continues to surround the project. Even the actors remain partially in the dark. Alan Cumming, who will reprise his role as Nightcrawler, shared that he began filming scenes before the script was fully completed.
