Dr. Oz jumps in as drug executive collapses during Oval Office press conference
During an Oval Office press conference, a drug company executive suddenly collapsed while President Donald Trump was announcing a new agreement with major drugmakers to reduce prices of obesity medications.
The incident occurred Thursday as representatives from Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk joined the President to discuss expanded coverage and cost reductions for popular obesity treatments, including Zepbound and Wegovy.
Reports indicate that the individual who fainted was Gordon Findlay, global brand director at Novo Nordisk. Witnesses said he appeared to lose consciousness while Eli Lilly’s CEO David Ricks was delivering his remarks.

Moments later, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, moved quickly to assist the fallen executive as Secret Service escorted the press from the room. Health and Human Services officials were also present when the event was cut short.
