Elder Gérald Caussé has been sustained as the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Originally from Bordeaux, France, Elder Caussé is 62 years old. Before his calling as an apostle, he served eleven years as the Presiding Bishop of the Church. He also served as a General Authority, first in Germany and later in the United States from 2008 to 2012.
He and his wife, Valérie, have been married for 30 years and are parents to five children.
