Sony Pictures has revealed the leading cast for The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event, directed by Sam Mendes and produced by Neal Street Productions. The films are set to hit cinemas in April 2028.
BAFTA winner Mia McKenna-Bruce will portray Maureen Cox Starkey, an early Beatles fan who met Ringo Starr at the Cavern Club in 1962. Their relationship quickly developed into marriage in 1965, and they had three children together.
Four-time Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Saoirse Ronan plays Linda Eastman McCartney, a renowned photographer who met Paul McCartney in 1967. McCartney recalled their meeting:
“The first time I saw her, I just knew.”
Anna Sawai, an Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress, embodies Japanese artist Yoko Ono, who met John Lennon at an exhibition of her work in London.
BAFTA TV awardee Aimee Lou Wood takes on the role of Pattie Boyd.
The cinematic event spans four films and is scheduled for release in cinemas in April 2028.
