Halloween on Public Transport: Scary Surprises on the RATP Network
To celebrate Halloween, the RATP has organized activities to both scare passengers and entertain children until November 2, 2025. These include creepy sound effects and candy giveaways throughout the metro and RER trains.
Although Paris public transport can be unsettling at any time, from October 31 to November 2, 2025, the RATP is offering special Halloween events to surprise riders beyond the usual crowded trains. While there are no ghost trains this year, expect plenty of candy and spooky audio effects.
Be prepared for jump scares on the metro. You might get startled by announcements during your ride on the RER or metro trains, so keep your senses alert!
Special Visuals and Activities
At the Madeleine and Bercy stations on line 14, video projections will be displayed until November 5, enhancing the Halloween atmosphere.
Families with children can enjoy candy, treats, and face painting workshops. RATP agents, often dressed in costumes, will be available in stations—sometimes decorated with pumpkins and witches—to provide information and add to the festive spirit.
