On-screen, their relationship has always been intense in Netflix’s acclaimed series Stranger Things. Now, according to The Mail on Sunday, actor David Harbour faces serious accusations of bullying and harassment from co-star Millie Bobby Brown.
Harbour, 50, who portrays former police chief Jim Hopper and the father figure to Brown’s character Eleven, is reportedly also dealing with allegations of infidelity involving his estranged wife, singer-songwriter Lily Allen.
The report claims that an internal inquiry was initiated after Brown allegedly filed a formal complaint against Harbour regarding his behavior during production of the show’s fifth and final season. The publication noted that the investigation did not involve any allegations of sexual misconduct.
“Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months,” a source stated.
Netflix declined to comment on the matter. Despite the controversy, sources indicate that Lily Allen remained firmly by Harbour’s side throughout the ordeal.
“Lily supported him throughout it all. It was a brutal time,” another source said.
Allen’s latest album reportedly contains lyrics criticizing Harbour and referencing alleged infidelities.
