The upcoming 2025 season of Big Brother is nearing its premiere, and host Mel Tracina has shared insights about the cast, ahead of the show's return to Channel 10 after 17 years.
A revival of Big Brother was announced in September, marking its 16th season. Tracina noted that the age span among housemates covers five decades, reflecting a highly diverse group.
"At the moment, the span of ages is across five decades. We have a grandmother, a single mum, a barber, and a self-confessed bogan."
While she did not specify the total number of contestants, Tracina mentioned some characteristics of certain housemates, emphasizing variety.
Tracina compared Big Brother’s casting approach to other Australian reality shows, highlighting that housemates do not need to meet strict criteria based on physical or mental strength, unlike shows like Survivor.
