The search for Dominic Connelly, a suspect in the murder of his grandmother and the stabbing of a Craven County deputy, has continued for six days.
Multiple local, state, and federal agencies have been conducting continuous search operations both day and night. The Craven County Sheriff’s Office reported the use of aerial technology, including drones and helicopters equipped with thermal sensors and motion detection, to assist in locating Connelly.
Specialized K-9 units from across North Carolina are also involved in the manhunt.
Authorities believe Connelly is near the Craven and Beaufort County line and may be moving northward. It is thought he is using woods and fields to evade capture.
The dense woods with thick brush in the area are complicating the search efforts by providing natural cover.
“Multiple local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies continue to search day and night using ground and air resources.”
