Hilary Duff announced her musical return will begin on Thursday, November 6, with the release of her new single titled “Mature.” After a decade-long break from music, the 37-year-old former Disney Channel star is set to make her comeback with this first release since her 2015 album Breathe In., Breathe Out.
On Monday, November 3, Duff shared the news on Instagram, revealing the cover art for “Mature,” which shows a moody triptych image of her looking thoughtfully into the distance. She wrote,
“So happy this is finally yours to hear. Been keeping this one quiet too long.”
Over the past years, Duff has concentrated mainly on acting, with leading roles in TV series like How I Met Your Father and Younger. Alongside her new music, a docuseries is also planned to document her musical return and personal journey.
Known for her long-standing support of the LGBTQ+ community, Duff described her comeback as a special message to her loyal fans. She told Variety,
“It’s just to impress them.”
