The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced that Madison Moten, a senior defender from Temple University, has been chosen as the 2025 recipient of the Tina Sloan Green Award. This distinction honors those who foster equity and inclusion across collegiate athletics.
The award is named after Tina Sloan Green, the pioneering Temple coach and the first Black head coach in women’s intercollegiate lacrosse history. Her leadership and dedication continue to influence the growth of diversity in the sport.
"I am humbly honored to receive the 2025 Tina Sloan Green Award. Tina's impact on Temple Women's Lacrosse and the University continues to shape my experience here as a student and athlete," said Moten. "Being part of this program has given me the opportunity to learn from Tina and to carry forward her mission of breaking barriers."
The recognition was announced in Philadelphia as part of the 2025 Women’s Lacrosse acknowledgment series by the IWLCA.
