For more than 20 years, entrepreneur Zlatko Starkovski has leased the historic Exhibition Place building in Toronto, a site known for hosting PC fundraisers and notable private events. Recently, this location became home to FYE Ultraclub, a burlesque-themed nightclub that opened in September.
The nightclub features adult entertainment, including lap dances by strippers and aerialists performing while suspended by their teeth. The establishment operates in the Horticulture Building at Exhibition Place, a public historic venue leased exclusively by Starkovski.
Money from the Ford government’s $10 million Skills Development Fund has contributed to supporting Starkovski, the owner of this new nightclub.
Starkovski, often called “Z” by friends and staff, has transformed the space multiple times. It was previously known as Muzik, a club famous a decade ago for visits by then-mayor Rob Ford that attracted significant media attention.
