At the available overlooks, the scenery is worth the side trip as the cliffs are especially sheer. At Antelope House ruin (near the bottom of the cliff) the view is especially awesome as the canyon makes a dramatic bend where a side canyon joins in. Massacre Cave, from which the canyon gets its name (Death in Spanish) has an accessible ramp and cement walkway.
