The unveiled domestic terminal at Montreal Metropolitan Airport began operations on June 15, raising annual capacity to about four million passengers and linking to the Longueuil metro via a dedicated shuttle. The terminal features nine boarding bridges, 28 counters, three screening zones, and Quebec-based retail outlets. Initial services come from Porter Airlines and Pascan Aviation. This development positions MET as a complementary hub to Montréal-Trudeau, aiming to relieve congestion at the region’s main airport while awaiting further expansion plans including REM connectivity.
