Joe Lumley is currently a Sheffield Wednesday player in the second tier of English football.
He transferred there on July 11, 2026 after Bristol City let him leave for free without a fee.
The Championship club released him as part of summer cuts amid roster trimming.
Sheffield required a new goalkeeper after Pierce Charles left earlier in the season this year.
Lumley said simply of his new role with the team.
He said he’s in the group to help the outfit.
The club sees him as a option for first choice and adds depth to the roster.
