Clare Wright was seen at lectures, as an Australian historian, noted for The Forgotten Rebels of Eureka (2013), which portrays the Eureka Rebellion from women's perspectives. She has also written and presented history programs for ABC, including Utopia Girls and The War That Changed Us. Wright holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne, leading public history initiatives at La Trobe serving on the NMA Council since 2022. She was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2020. for her services to literature and historical research.
