Locals around the capital experienced loud explosions late Thursday night.
The blasts came from unused Canada Day fireworks.
Unexploded fireworks from July 1 detonated close to Lemieux Island.
Police and councillors confirmed the incident.
A second explosion took place at Bluesfest’s first night.
Stray shells detonated there as well.
Nobody was hurt and no damage to property was reported.
